Clear Thoughts Foundation (CTF) is awarding a $50,000 grant to The Pittsburgh Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases (PIND). Specifically, the grant will go to Dr. Amantha Thathiah, for the application entitled “Role of GPCRs in Alzheimer’s Disease”. Her proposal on translating the genetics of neurodegenerative disorders into therapeutic strategies aligns with the goals and mission of CTF. The CTF board of directors agreed that her application was most promising in providing valuable knowledge in the area of Alzheimer’s research which in turn, we believe, can further the treatment of all dementias.
The grant will be awarded at the CTF Roll for a Reason Gala on November 12th.
